Expected to start August 10, 2025, the enhanced aircraft will soar through the skies on the daily EK 650/651 route, ensuring passengers experience unparalleled comfort and innovation.
This exciting development boosts Emirates’ presence in Sri Lanka, complementing the newly launched Airbus A350 services to Colombo. Travelers now have more choices, more luxury, and a truly world-class flying experience!

As part of one of the most extensive retrofits in aviation history, Emirates is investing a staggering $5 billion to revamp over 220 aircraft! Every three weeks, a fully upgraded aircraft enters service, showcasing the airline’s relentless pursuit of perfection, style, and ultimate passenger comfort.

Business Class

They have removed the triple seats from the centre of the aircraft and installed up to 38 new Business Class seats in a 1-2-1 configuration. The champagne leather seats match the ones on the latest Emirates A380, with detailed stitching and soft cushioned headrests.

They have upgraded the social area to match our stylish interiors. Enjoy a mid-flight refreshment when you fly in First and Business Class.
Premium Economy

You’ll be able to fly to more destinations in Premium Economy. The latest Boeing 777 layout will feature 24 of the luxurious, cream leather seats. Premium Economy now features across the fleet, with refurbished A380s and the new A350 launching later this year. That means by early 2025, you can stretch out in Premium Economy when you fly to more than 40 cities including Colombo on some flights.
Economy Class

They are fitting up to 260 of the latest generation Economy Class seats with generous legroom on our Boeing 777 aircraft. The sweeping ceilings and ocean blue interior give a greater sense of space and light. And you can enjoy the latest award-winning “ICE” inflight entertainment on a 13.3-inch HD TV.
Expanding the Luxury Experience Worldwide
By September 2025, Emirates’ refreshed Boeing 777 and Airbus A380 aircraft will serve 44 global destinations, raising the bar for long-haul travel.
