World Tallest Christmas Tree

The world record for the tallest man-made Christmas tree belongs to Sri Lanka.

It was built in Colombo on 24 December 2016, measuring 72.1 meters (236 ft 6.58 in) tall and 20.2 meters (66 ft) wide.

Why It’s Special- It was more than a tree, it was part of a three-day carnival in Colombo, designed to celebrate the festive season.

The project symbolised Sri Lanka’s creativity and community spirit, using recycled materials and local craftsmanship.

It remains the official Guinness World Record holder for the largest artificial Christmas tree.

So, the crown for the tallest artificial Christmas tree in the world proudly sits with Sri Lanka, making it a festive landmark in global history.
